Daily-Life Speaking Topics with Sample Answers.
You do not need an exciting story to practise speaking. A conversation at lunch, a change in the weather, or a small task you finished can all become a clear answer. These questions help you notice ordinary moments and describe them to someone who was not there.

A simple way to answer
Choose one moment rather than listing everything you did. Begin with what happened, add a detail somebody could picture, and explain why you remember it. For example, instead of saying your day was good, describe the quiet cup of tea you had before a busy morning. If today feels too ordinary, answer about yesterday. Keep names and private details out if you plan to share the video.
If you have more to say: What would you like to do the same way tomorrow?

What is one small thing that made today better?
One small thing that made today better was having a quiet cup of coffee before I started work. I usually check my phone immediately, but today I left it in another room for ten minutes. That short pause helped me feel less rushed. I could hear the kettle and the birds outside instead of several message alerts at once. Tomorrow I want to try the same pause, even if I only have five minutes before leaving. It was not a big event, but it changed the mood of my morning and made it easier to focus on the first thing I needed to do.
Practise this questionWhat has been the best part of your day so far?
The best part of my day so far was a short conversation with a friend during lunch. We had both been busy, so we had not spoken properly for a few weeks. We did not discuss anything important. We simply shared a few funny stories and caught up. I went back to work feeling lighter and more energetic. She told me about a cooking mistake, and I shared something similar that happened at home. We laughed over a very ordinary meal and agreed to meet again without waiting for a special occasion. It reminded me that a small conversation can make an ordinary day feel much better.
