speaklike.pro is designed to create recordings locally inside your browser. The website does not upload, store, transcribe, analyse, or view your video or audio.
Camera and microphone
Your browser asks for permission only after you choose Start camera. Permission is controlled by your browser and device. You can revoke it at any time in your browser settings.
Video creation
The camera image, selected topic, and microphone audio are combined on your device. The completed video is held temporarily in the current browser tab so you can preview, share, or download it.
Your latest completed take stays available in this tab while you try again. It is replaced only when the next video is successfully prepared. Closing or refreshing the page clears these temporary recordings. The website does not provide cloud backup or recovery.
Sharing and downloads
When you select Share video, your browser may open the device’s native share sheet. You choose the receiving app. When you download a video, your browser or device decides where the file is saved.
Topics and local storage
The site remembers a short list of recently shown topic identifiers and your reading style, speed, and text size in local browser storage. These settings contain no recording, transcript, name, email address, or camera information. Clearing your site data removes them.
You can edit a sample script before recording. Your edits stay only in the current tab’s memory and are cleared on refresh or close. Shared topic links contain only a public topic identifier, never your edited script or recording.
Usage analytics
The site uses Google Analytics and its first-party analytics cookies to understand page visits and whether key practice features work. Advertising storage, advertising data, personalisation, and Google advertising signals remain disabled. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Feature events may include the topic category, teleprompter mode, recording duration, general error categories, sharing, and downloading. Recording bytes, spoken content, edited scripts, filenames, camera or microphone labels, names, and email addresses are never sent as analytics properties.
The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous visitor and page-view counts. It does not use cookies, and its daily visitor identifier cannot follow someone between different days or websites. Learn more about Vercel Web Analytics.
